The second edition of Abuja Entertainment Seminar is set to hold in a week’s time with the theme “Investing in our local content and growing the economy through entertainment”.
According to a statement from the organizers, 41 Naija Entertainment, The event which will take place on the 18th of June, is meant to bring together industry stakeholders, policy makers, musicians, professionals from private and public sector in an attempt to help build a unifying structure, support the growing talents and open more opportunities for investment in the Entertainment industry in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Seminar Director, Mr. Victor Chase, stated that the seminar is moving the conversation beyond rhetoric, by providing a platform for individuals and companies to showcase their creativity.
He said: “This year’s sessions will be more about what practitioners have done in the past years, using case studies to deliver presentations everyone can learn from. All sessions and presentations will also be accompanied by master-classes by the visionaries plotting the future of the industry.”
The speakers and panelists for this year include producer and Vivace Records boss, Tee Y Mix, President of Society of Nigeria Theatre artists (SONTA), Professor Sunnie Ododo, Director Public Affairs Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Mr. Tony Ojobo, Business Executive & Consultant, Paul Alaje, Mode 9, and Paul Play IK Dairo.
41 Naija Entertainment has also introduced an exclusive award ceremony in the programme to celebrate and honour brands which have over the years supported the growth of the entertainment industry in Abuja through their projects.
