Nigeria Easing Towards Prosperity Under Tinubu – Sen. Ashafa


Lagos: Sen. Gbenga Ashafa, a former two-term member of the Senate, says the nation is gradually easing towards sustainable prosperity under President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Ashafa, a former Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), shared his insights in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ashafa spoke on the sidelines of the Fs Club 45th Anniversary and 2025 Induction of New Members and Investiture of Patrons Ceremony in Lagos. As the former President of the social club, he expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, stating that the country was no longer in a hopeless situation. He emphasized that despite past hardships, there is a noticeable shift towards prosperity.



Ashafa highlighted that the number of Nigerians seeking opportunities abroad has decreased, as citizens are now focusing on developing skills and leveraging their environment to contribute to the economy. He expressed confidence that with President Bola Tinubu at the helm, Nigeria is on the right track towards prosperity.



He called on citizens to support Tinubu for a second term, urging them to consider the progress made during the first two years of his presidency. Ashafa credited Tinubu’s reforms for stabilizing the economy, noting that international organizations like the International Monetary Fund and World Bank have acknowledged Nigeria’s growth and economic stability.



Despite these advancements, Ashafa acknowledged the need for further improvements in the productive sector to enhance job creation. He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s efforts to address these challenges, reiterating his belief that Nigeria will continue to progress under Tinubu’s leadership.
