A militant group in Nigeria’s restive Delta region said it had attacked an oil pipeline operated by Shoreline and NPDC, according to a statement issued by the group on Tuesday.
The group, which calls itself the Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate, said it “brought down the Afiesere-Iwhrenene major delivery line” in the early hours of Tuesday.
It could not immediately verify the attack. While several militant groups are in a ceasefire agreement with the government, others have continued to hit oil and gas production infrastructure in the region.
