Abuja:Digital public infrastructure, interoperability, and emerging technologies are set to enhance government institutions and improve service delivery to citizens, according to Mr. Dasuki Arabi, Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR).

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Arabi made these remarks in a statement regarding the fourth Nigeria GovTech conference and awards, scheduled for October 13 and 14 in Abuja. The event will explore how digital transformation can promote more efficient, inclusive, and responsive governance, while enhancing access to government services.

The conference, organized by BPSR in collaboration with the Office of the Technical Adviser to the President on Economic and Financial Inclusion, will focus on applying digital public infrastructure and innovation to strengthen government institutions. It will also examine the role of digital transformation in supporting financial inclusion and expanding Nigeria’s digital economy.

Under the theme ‘Advancing Digita

The governors to be recognized include Mr. Dikko Radda of Katsina, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, Bassey Otu of Cross River, Peter Mbah of Enugu, Charles Soludo of Anambra, and Hyacinth Alia of Benue states.

Arabi noted that these governors were selected through a comparative assessment of digital government performance across the states, considering progress in digital service delivery, institutional readiness, digital infrastructure, transparency, and open governance, as well as innovation and partnerships.

The awards aim to recognize public servants and organizations that have effectively used technology to drive institutional reforms and improve service delivery. They will also acknowledge outstanding achievements in digital i

The conference will bring together senior government officials, technology executives, development partners, and private-sector stakeholders to discuss practical approaches to advancing digital government in Nigeria.
