Nigeria to unveil Integrated Computer Emergency Response and Readiness Centre

The Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Mr Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi says the Agency will commission the Integrated Computer Emergency Response and Readiness Centre and rebrand NITDA in line with the national digital economy policy for a digital Nigeria.

Other projects which will be commissioned on 16 August 2020 virtually by the Minister of Communications and Digital Dr. Isa Ali Pantami include Digital Studio for Virtual Learning, New NITDA logo and the new Digital Conferencing Facilities and Building.

According to Mr Adullahi, these projects are in line with the three Priorities of President Muhammadu Buhari on security, economic development and anti-corruption through Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Telecommunications solutions.

The centre will also help develop and oversee standard policy and practice regarding Internet use, as well as steps for resolving all cybersecurity incidents.

It would also integrate approaches to data management and safe internet activities in the country.
