Nigerian Army reaffirms relationship with Media

The Nigerian Army has reiterated its commitment of having a harmonious relationship with the media across the Country.

The Commander of the Nigerian Army training and doctrine Command (Tradoc), Major General Abuabakar Adamu Tarfa mentioned this during an award for selfless and good governance in promoting the activities of the Nigerian Army. The award was presented to him by The Independent Magazine Publishers at the Tradoc headquarters in Minna, Niger State on Thursday.

The media plays very important role in among the security outfit in the country by projecting the positive results of the activities of the Military and other security agencies in enhancing the development in the Country.

Major General Tarfa, who appreciated the award by the media practitioners, said it’s not always easy to be infallible as a leader as one must face several challenges along the way.

He further reiterated the commitments of the Nigerian Army in establishing a harmonious relationship with the Civil Society in moving Nigeria to a greater height.

The Commander TRADOC, who further shows his full appreciation to the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, for his encouragement, creativity and performance in the leadership of the Nigerian Army, further commended colleagues and superior officers of the Nigerian Military in line of duty.

In a ceremony attended by Officers and Soldiers of the Training and Doctrine Command of the Nigerian Army, The publisher of the Magazine, Prince Jude Ubaka, mentioned that Major General Tarfa, was selected for an award by the team of editors of the magazine, having been monitored for a period in almost different Military sectors he had served in Nigeria.

Mr Ubaka also described Major General Tarfa, as a committed and dedicated Officer of the Nigerian Army due to his quality of leadership style, uprightness and numerous contributions to the development of modern Nigerian Army as witnessed by the magazine.
