Post: Nigerian Broadcasters Applaud Ali’s Reappointment as NAN Managing Director

Abuja: The Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB) has extended its congratulations to Malam Ali M. Ali on his reappointment as the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). Prof. Umaru Pate, President of the Society, expressed his felicitations in a congratulatory message delivered in Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu approved Ali’s reappointment for another three-year term as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NAN on August 23. Ali, who was first appointed on October 20, 2023, will commence his second term on October 20, 2026. President Tinubu highlighted Ali’s initial appointment date and confirmed the timeline for his second term.

Prof. Pate emphasized that Ali’s reappointment is a testament to the confidence in his extensive experience, professionalism, and leadership within Nigeria’s media landscape. He remarked on Ali’s three decades of experience in journalism and media management, expressing confidence in his ability to guide NAN towards greater innovation and effective service to the nation. The SNB President wished Ali a successful and impactful second term and anticipated his continued contributions to the media sector in Nigeria.

Ali is recognized as a veteran journalist and media manager, with a rich career spanning over 30 years. He holds a graduate degree in International Affairs from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a first degree in English from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, also from BUK.
