Nigerian Monarch Advocates for Global Promotion of Nation’s Cultural Heritage

London: The Oloro of Oro Kingdom in Kwara State, Central Nigeria, Oba Joel Oyatoye Olufayo II, has emphasized the importance of promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage on a global scale. This call to action was made during a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s High Commission in London, where he was warmly received by the Acting High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Mohammad Maidugu.

According to Voice of Nigeria, the royal father stressed the need to strengthen Nigeria’s cultural diplomacy and increase the global visibility of Nigerian arts, values, and traditions. The Oloro highlighted his previous collaborations with the Federal Government through his Asa Day Worldwide Inc., Canada, which aims to preserve and project Nigeria’s culture through entertainment and creative initiatives.

Oba Joel Oyatoye Olufayo II reiterated his commitment to showcasing Nigeria to the world, noting that the success of Nigerians abroad not only signifies personal achievements but also enhances the nation’s global image. He expressed that his passion for promoting Nigerian culture has been a driving force throughout his life, culminating in his role as a king.

Acting High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Mohammad Maidugu, responded with appreciation for the monarch’s visit, extending a formal welcome on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
