The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, in a press release on behalf of the state commissioner of police, CP Dandaura Mustapha, assured people of the state that this year’s Easter period, like previous ones, would be celebrated peacefully.

Haruna said, The Command has prepared an elaborate operations order which effectively covers all places of worships, recreation centres, public buildings, flash points, black spots and other vulnerable areas in order to ensure adequate protection of life and properties in the State.

While wishing all Christian faithfuls a happy celebration, the Commissioner of Police CP Mustapha Dandaura implores all to use the period and pray for sustainable peace in the state and nation in general.

However, Individuals or groups desiring and planning to truncate this noble intention are warned to desist forthwith as any breach of the public peace will attract full wrath of the law. The Public is assured of our commitment to ensure Safety and Security before, during and after the Easter period,he further stated.
