Nigerian filmmaker Femi Odugbemi has been appointed to the prestigious International Engagement Committee of the Academy.
This committee is tasked with shaping the Academy’s global engagement strategy, with a focus on critical areas such as the membership process, governance, and impact initiatives.
During this one-year appointment, which extends until June 30, 2025, Odugbemi will work alongside a diverse group of international professionals to support the Academy’s mission of promoting global inclusivity and influence within the film industry. To accommodate members from different time zones, the committee will convene virtually three times over the next year, with meetings scheduled for mid-October, February, and April.
