NSE ASI rose by 0.93%

Equity transactions on the Nigerian stock Exchange started on a positive note on Monday as the all share index rose by 0.93%.

The index rose at 233.90 basis points to close by 25,250.20 basis points on Monday as against 25,016.30 basis point on Friday.

The Market Capitalisation also rose by O.94% or 13 trillion to close at 13.17 trillion on Monday as against N13.04 trillion on Friday.

A total of 222.39 million unit of shares valued at N2.09billion were traded on Monday.

MTN Nigeria gained 1.72 percent or N2.00 to close at N118.00.

It was followed by Bua Cement which Gained 3.75percent or N1.50 to close at N41.50k.

Nigerian Breweries also gained 1.19percent or N0.50 to close at N42.50k.

DangoteSugar  led the losers table after losing 2.68percent or N0.40k to close at N14.55k, followed by Guinness which lost 1.64 percent or N0.30k to close at N18.00.

Then Eterna lost 4.49 percent or N0.12k to close at N2.55k .

FBN Holdings dominated activity chart exchanging 34.502 million shares at N188.38 million.

Guaranty bank traded 22.881million shares valued at N550.14 million.

Monday’s trading closed with 31 gainers and 11 losers.
