NSE investors get N130 billion in equities

Trading activities in the equities sector of the Nigerian Stock Exchange has continued upbeat on Wednesday as investors gain N130 billion.

At the end of transactions all share index closed at 24,452.23 basis points or 249.36 basis points higher than Tuesday’s 24,202.87.

Accordingly, investors gained N130 billion as market capitalization stood at N12,743 trillion or 0.03 percent from the previous day’s close of N12,613 trillion.

A total volume of 427,25 million units of shares valued at N5.27 billion were traded in 5,079 deal as 37 stocks gained while 5 declined.


Dangote Cement recorded the highest price gain of 1.69 percent to close at N150.00 per share.

Zenith bank followed by 4.10 percent to close at N16.50 kobo per share and BUA Cement appreciated by 1.89 percent to close at N31.80 kobo per share.


Wapco led the losers chart by 2.65 percent to close N11.00 per share.

Access Bank followed with 0.76 percent to close at N60.55 kobo, and Unity Bank shed 3.85 percent to close at N0.50 kobo per share.


Transactions in shares of Zenith bank topped the activity chart with 75,070 million units of shares valued at N1.217 million in 687 deals.
Access bank followed with 50,760 million shares worth N329.22 million traded in 226 deals.
And Guinness traded 34,204 million units of shares valued at N581.90 million.
