NSE market capitalisation up by 0.81%

At the end of trading on Wednesday on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Market capitalization closed on a positive note.

The market capitalization closed at 8.813 trillion Naira as against a previous closing of 8.742 trillion Naira, gaining 71 billion Naira or 0.81 per cent.

Similarly, the NSE All Share Index lost 0.81 per cent or 205.54 basis points when it closed at 25,471.69 basis points as against Tuesday’s close of 25,266.15 basis points.

In today’s trades, a total of 1.59 million shares worth 1.13 billion Naira were exchanged in 3,0448 deals.

The three gainers in Naira value for today’s market are;

Gainers

Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc, gained in Naira when it closed at N347.28 per share as against a previous closing price of N315 per share, gaining N32.28.

7-UP Bottling Company Plc closed at N95.89 per share as against a previous closing price of N87 per share, gaining N8.89. While Lafarge Africa Plc which had a previous closing price of N43.2 per share but gained N4.42 to close at N47.62 per share.

Losers

PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc lost 72 kobo when it closed at N13.87 per share as against a previous closing price of N14.59 per share.

Ecobank Transnational Incorporation fell by 39 kobo when it closed at N8.05 compared to a previous closing price of N8.44 per share.

Nigerian Breweries Plc fell by 2 kobo after closing at N124.8 per share compared to Tuesday’s closing price of N125 per share.
