NULGE CHAIRMAN URGES WORKERS TO SHOW COMMITMENT TO DUTY

Ogidi (Idemili North LGA)-Local Government employees have been called upon to be proactive in the discharge of their duties.

The call was made by Chairman National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Idemili North Local Government Area (LGA) chapter, Mr Kennedy Igweze at the LG Secretariat, Ogidi.

Workers are the backbone of every government.”

While emphasising that new rules and regulations of clocking in and out with identity cards, he urged workers to obey the directive to avoid sack and withholding of their salaries.

Igweze commended Gov. Willie Obiano and Transition Committee Chairman, Idemili North for prompt payment of workers’ salaries and their welfare.

The NULGE boss said they would meet with the TC chairman to deliberate on how to visit those who lost their loved ones and even the sick ones.

Igweze expressed displeasure at delays in the implementation of the new minimum wage that had since been signed into law since April.
