Abuja: The Obidient and Kwankwaso Movement (OK Movement) has inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections, urging members to spread its message to Nigerians nationwide. The National Secretary of the movement, Saadatu Sani, conveyed this directive in a congratulatory message to the newly appointed council members, which was shared with newsmen on Thursday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Sani emphasized that the appointments were a call to duty, sacrifice, leadership, and service. She encouraged council members to approach their roles with discipline, loyalty, humility, and courage. The council is tasked with advancing the movement’s vision and aspirations from urban centers to grassroots communities across the nation. The movement aims to mobilize Nigerians around its vision for a better, prosperous, united, and functional Nigeria.
Sani urged members to collaborate effectively, highlighting the need for strategic thinking, effective communication, grassroots mobilization
, and coordination across states and local government areas. She noted the movement’s responsibility to ensure its message reaches every Nigerian while providing platforms for citizens to express their views. Congratulating the council members, Sani reminded them that their appointments were both an honor and a responsibility to the movement and the country.
The campaign council is led by John Ughulu as Director-General, with Sani serving as National Secretary. It includes coordinators for the six geopolitical zones, the Federal Capital Territory, and the 36 states. Suleiman Abubakar coordinates the North Central, while Hashimu Dungurawa, Amadu Gwambe, Adebayo Adefolaseye, Christopher Ighodaro, and El-shaddai Ikeh oversee the North West, North East, South West, South South, and South East regions, respectively.
Additional members have been assigned to head various directorates such as grassroots mobilization, women affairs, contact and engagement, strategy and planning, information technology, legal affairs
, security and intelligence, and administration. Sani stated that the council would focus on translating its political message into grassroots engagement in anticipation of the 2027 elections. She also called on all members to exhibit unity and dedication as the campaign activities advanced.
