Omor/Igbakwu boundary dispute: Group calls for Government intervention

Awka-The Panel Inquiry on Omor/Igbakwu boundary dispute will need to hasten its work, so as to send their recommendations to Government for immediate consideration and implementation.

President, Igbakwu Peace Movement (IPM), Mr Uchenna Ndubuisi, made the appeal to Anambra State Government.

Mr Ndubuisi, who said this during an interview in Awka, noted that an urgent release of the resolution to Government would stop to stem any heinous plans by any of the two feuding communities from invading each other.

“The people of Igbakwu are known for their kind heartedness, respect for rule of law and constituted authority as well as being crusaders of peace,’’ he said

Mr Ndubuisi, then, appealed to Government to consider it necessary to build a Police Post in the community, because Igbakwu people would be ready to donate a parcel of land for the project.

He said that such a post in the community would forestall any form of attacks, counter attacks and other forms of crimes with the area.
