Abuja: The Ona of Abaji, Dr Adamu Yunusa, has expressed appreciation for President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, highlighting their roles in the infrastructural transformation taking place in the FCT.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Yunusa, who serves as the Chairman of the FCT Council of Chiefs, made these remarks during a visit by members of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors. The delegation, led by Coordinator Adamu Abdullahi, met with Yunusa in his palace on Thursday. The traditional leader acknowledged Wike as a prominent advocate of Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’, praising the ongoing infrastructural developments, especially in the satellite towns, and emphasized the need for further educational interventions.
The ambassadors also toured various chiefdoms, including Gwargwada, Rubochi, Yaba, Wako, Pai, and Zuba. The Chief of Pai, Alhaji Abubakar Pai, lauded the Tinubu administration for enhancing the road network in rural areas, which has facilitated the easier transport of agricultural goods to the city.
Meanwhile, the Agora of Zuba, Muhammad Umar, expressed his belief in the ambassadors’ potential to contribute positively to the FCT and vowed to continue supporting the territory’s progress and unity.
Adamu Abdullahi stated that the purpose of their visit was to acquaint the ambassadors with FCT’s traditional rulers and to obtain their blessings and guidance. Additionally, the visit aimed to fortify relationships and garner support for the Tinubu-led administration’s success. Abdullahi assured the traditional leaders that their concerns would be documented and conveyed to President Tinubu, whom he described as attentive to the needs of the people.
