Aloysius umalo: Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, North Central Nigeria, has announced the awarding of contracts for the construction of over 390 kilometers of roads across various communities. The initiative aims to improve access to quality roads for residents in both rural and urban areas.
According to Voice of Nigeria, the Governor communicated through his Chief Press Secretary during an inspection tour of ongoing projects in Makurdi, the state capital. He highlighted the progress of projects across the state, including 25 completed township roads in Makurdi. Governor Alia addressed allegations of favoritism, assuring that his administration is committed to delivering projects that benefit all residents.
Additionally, Governor Alia outlined plans for future projects, emphasizing the importance of providing water, healthcare, and quality education to every community in the state. Some of the ongoing projects inspected include the Food Basket Brewery, the Ishaya Bakut Road dual carriageway, the popular High Level underpass road project, and the newly awarded projects for Benfruit company concentrate and Benval Juice Factory, which are currently at various stages of completion.
