Abuja: The Forum of President Bola Tinubu’s Chief Executive Officers (PBAT CEOs) has pledged to mobilise support for the re-election of the president in 2027 and sustain the Renewed Hope Agenda. The Convener of the forum and Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), Dr Kazeem Raji, made the pledge at the forum’s maiden meeting on Thursday in Abuja.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the meeting had the theme: ‘Strengthening Collective Leadership, Mobilisation and Support for the Re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda.’ Raji stated that the forum was established to unite heads of Federal Government agencies appointed by Tinubu to support the administration’s programmes and contribute to national development. He described President Tinubu as a reformer who has made challenging decisions to tackle longstanding structural issues in the country.
Raji highlighted significant reforms undertaken by the administration, such as the removal of fuel subsidies, unification of the foreign exchange market, fiscal and tax reforms, power sector reforms, development finance initiatives, and infrastructure expansion. He also noted achievements in increasing domestic refining capacity, expanding Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure, and investments in education, housing, agriculture, healthcare, technology, innovation, power, and digital connectivity.
Raji emphasized the need for continuity in reforms to allow Nigerians to fully benefit from them, stressing the importance of not disrupting long-term development programmes due to political transitions. He urged the forum members, referred to as ‘foot soldiers’ of the Renewed Hope Agenda, to translate the President’s vision into tangible results for Nigerians and document their agencies’ achievements.
The forum aims to promote coordination and collaboration among government agencies, reduce duplication of efforts, and ensure alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda’s priorities. Raji stated that the forum would support public understanding of government reforms, strengthen grassroots engagement, and encourage ethical and issue-based participation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He called for professionalism and integrity in the forum’s mobilisation activities, urging members to use their networks to inform and engage the public about government policies and reforms. Raji concluded by highlighting the forum’s commitment to consolidating the administration’s gains and supporting Tinubu’s re-election through lawful, peaceful, and grassroots-oriented engagement.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the forum comprises chief executive officers, directors-general, managing directors, executive vice-chairmen, and heads of Federal Government agencies, including Aliyu Abdullah, George Olumoroti, Prince Ebitimi Amgbare, Dr Ronke Soyombo, Dr Mahmud Mohammed, Dr Olushola Odusanya, and Dr Kayode Opeifa, among others.
