PDP Presidential candidate pledges 70% Youth inclusion

The candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar says he will engage 70% youths and women in governance if elected the next President of Nigeria.

Alhaji Abubakar said this became necessary as the population of Nigeria was more of youths, who needed to be given the opportunity to fully participate in the affairs of the country.

He was speaking during the Presidential campaign rally in Benin, the Edo State capital, Southern Nigeria.

The presidential candidate said theAPC has made life unbearable for citizens especially youths and women, stating that his coming as the President would liberate all.

He said, What the present administration of APC has been able to do since it took over power more than three years ago is to bring hunger and hardship to the people.

Youth empowerment

He said the APC has forced almost 21 million youths out of job, but if elected, he would make sure these youths are empowered.

We want to prepare you to take over the affairs of this country, so that you can have meaningful careers, and successful businesseswhatever you want to do, we want you to succeed, the PDP flag bearer stated.

He said when PDP was in power, the price of crude was 11dollars, yet they were able to pay all foreign debts and brought prosperity and technology to the country.

We want to continue on the powers of that prosperityso I appeal to you to vote PDP on the 16th of this month, and when you vote, stay there, because if you don't wait till the votes are counted, they will cheat you, he said.

Plot to Rig Election

He alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress are importing foreigners from Chad and Niger Republic to rig the Presidential election.

You see how they are bringing in people from neighbouring countries. they want to use them to rig the February 16 election. they are coming into your country to turn you into slaves so you should not allow it, Nigeria's former vice President said.

Alhaji Atiku appreciated the people of Edo State, and told them how he believed in their votes.

Large Turnout

The PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, appealed to the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC not to use IDPs to rig the election, else there would be trouble.

The Party chairman said he was thrilled with the large turnout of supports and that he was convinced that they would vote for Atiku, come February 16th.

He stated that Atiku was the man that would rescue Nigerians from hunger and poverty and then he would create jobs.

He is very prominent, Energetic and with his experience, he will make Nigeria better again, Secondus added.

The chairman of PDP Edo State chapter, thanked the presidential candidate for coming and assured him of the people's readiness and willing to vote for him.

Defection

The Edo State PDP Chairman also mentioned some of the opposition Party members that defected to PDP, some of which included former APC Chairman in Edo State sir OKorowo, BOB Izua, amongst others.

High point of the rally was the performance of some Nigerian Artiste like African China, Comedian Godons and Klient the Drunk including some other upcoming Artiste

Alhaji Atiku Abubaka was accompanied by his wife, Titi Abubakar, traditonal rulers of the Benin Kingdom, Dino Melaye, Edo State PDP Senators and House of Representatives candidates, and some PDP Chieftains.
