President Muhammadu Buhari has left Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Saturday for Poland to attend the 24th session of the Climate Change Conference known as the Parties (COP24).
COP24, under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), would hold from December 2-4, 2018 in the Polish city of Katowice.
The Summit is taking place at the International Conference Centre (MCK) and the adjacent Spodek Arena in Katowice. It is being convened under the Presidency of Poland.
The conference is expected to finalise the rules for implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change under the Paris Agreement Work Programme (PAWP), the rule book for implementation.
