The Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is presiding over a security meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting started at 10:30 hours GMT and it is expected to review security situation and the way forward, to guarantee the safety of lives and property in all parts of the country.
Those present at the meeting include; The Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olanishakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, a representative of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
Others are; the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (Retired), Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Mansur Dan-Ali (Retired) and the Director General of the State Security Services, Lawal Musa Daura.
