President Buhari promises Nigerians better days ahead

The Nigeria President Muhammad Buhari has concluded his campaign rally in Lagos with a pledge for better days for every citizen if elected again in February 16 elections.

President Buhari in a brief speech to the admiration of the crowd at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, said that his administration would continue the fight against corruption and ensure looters of public treasury get the full wrath of the law.

He said that a vote for him would allow for continuation of good governance, a path towards the next level of development for the country.

Basic amenities

In his address, the Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor, Yemi Osinbajo harps on infrastructure renewal projects, Job creation, power which enable rural electrification across the country, if President Buhari is allowed for another term.

Prof. Osinbajo, who highlighted some of the grand achievements of President Buhari in the last three years to include rail projects, housing, works among others, said the opposition wanted to continue with their impunity and the integrity of President Buhari has given him a leverage to continue for another term.

Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola reassured Nigerians that they would benefit more public Infrastructure from Power, Works and Housing sectors if they re-elect President Muhammad Buhari for another term in office.

Mr Fashola said it has become imperative for the electorates to vote all candidates contesting under the All Progressives Congress, APC in the February 16 and March 2 general election for the nation to move to the next level of development.

According to him, re-electing APC will bring more prosperity, development, among other things they have been yearning for.

He advised people to resist being deceived by the opposition, saying ‘APC, within four years, did what they could not do in 16 years’.

Please go out early on Election Day and vote massively for APC, after accreditation, do not go home, so you do not get tired of going back to your polling unit to vote.

And after voting, please wait behind for it to be counted in your presence. We cannot allow our votes to be rubbished, he said.

Broom revolution

APC National leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu also charged prospective voters to cast their ballot for the APC in the next election.

He said that the past government had failed to put Nigeria on a pedestal of growth with enormous resources but the Buhari administration has done a lot with meagre fund and resources.

This is demonstration of democracy and it’s not all about President Buhari. Lagos is very sure for voting Buhari and APC largely in the next election.

This is a broom revolution. You’ve heard our state chairman who had catalogued when Buhari came here to campaign four years ago, he did not make fluke promises. We saw the action, Tinubu said.

The host Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode reiterated the commitment of the State to unalloyed support of President Muhammad Buhari.

Governor said: We appreciate the President in the last three and half years. The 2019 election is not about tribe and religion, but it’s all about job, economy and infrastructure. In Lagos, Airport road is making life comfortable for every Lagosians.

President Buhari has refunded some of the money we used for projects in Lagos.We need to continue in that direction.President Buhari has created the ground work for growth.

He enjoined every residents of the State, especially those eligible to vote during election to cast their ballot for the All Progressives Congress APC.

The National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole said that the past government has upturned the economy of the country for the last 16 years, stressing that the Buhari administration has come to fix the wrong structures and take the country to the next level.

He pointed out that the atmosphere of election would be peaceful, allaying fear of any violence during election.

He said We believe in peaceful election and I’m assuring you that there will be no fighting, because Nigeria knows what they want. To those who are expecting there will be trouble during election should see it as a wishful thinking.

The highlight of the rally was the handing over of party flags to political contestants from the Governorship, State and National Assembly in Lagos State.
