Quincy Farms, FCMB identify with government in fight against COVID-19 pandemic

Awka-Chairman, Quincy Farms Ltd., Dr Nwachukwu Anakwenze has made donation of some items toward supporting the fight against Coronavirus pandemic by the Anambra State Government.

Dr Anakwenze, the Onowu of Abagana, who was represented by his staff member of his organisation, Mr Chibuzor Anakwenze presented 100 cartons of Quincy Table Water to Government.

He noted that he was motivated by the doggedness and commitment of the state government in the fight against the pandemic as well as support from some well-meaning Ndi Anambra and the corporate organisations.

Receiving the donation, Secretary to State Government (SSG), Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu thanked Dr Anakwenze for the kind gesture at this critical time.

Prof. Chukwulobelu was represented by a Senior Special Assistant to Governor in the Office of the SSG, Mrs Joy Soba.

Earlier, the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) donated 850 bags of 5kg rice to Government to be used as palliative to support the needy.

Officials of the bank, led by the Branch Manager, FCMB, Awka 2, Mr Victor Agumadu made the presentation at Government House, Awka.

The SSG, who received the donation, praised the group for the effort.

Prof. Chukwulobelu noted that Gov. Obiano had given approval for distribution of the donated items to the indigent people in state, especially homes that were registered with the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

He said that some families and individuals had already benefitted from the donations, re-assuring that all donations from people of Anambra were being properly utilised.
