Remo Stars have appointed Kennedy Boboye as the club’s coach on a one-year deal to replace former coach Fatai Osho, who resigned on Thursday.
At a press conference held at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu, on Friday, the 45-year-old expressed his pleasure at taking over the position at Remo Stars.
I’m happy to be appointed the manager of Remo Stars, Boboye said.
We have an ambition this season and with the calibre of players we have can make an impact. It’s a new challenge, we’ve just discussed few hours before this unveiling and I think we are good to go.
The team have a target and it is for us to play in the continent and if everybody put their hands on deck I believe it is achievable. We can as well repeat what happened in Plateau State here with Remo Stars. He added.
Boboye had previously managed Sunshine Stars, Abia Warriors and Plateau United. Daniel Ogunmodede was also appointed the chief coach of the team.
Remo Stars begin their campaign in the Nigerian Professional Football League this season against Bendel Insurance in Sagamu on Sunday. Both teams clashed at the just concluded Nigerian National League Super 8 Play-offs with the Benin Arsenals emerging victorious.
