S’East Region Holds Significant Importance for Tinubu, Says Idris


Enugu: The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has expressed that the South East Region holds a special significance in the heart of President Bola Tinubu. This declaration was made during a courtesy visit to the Governor of Enugu State, Mr. Peter Mbah, underscoring the administration’s focus on the area.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Idris emphasized President Tinubu’s commitment to the region, highlighting his passion for its development, the delivery of democratic benefits, and the renewal of hope among its residents. Idris noted that President Tinubu’s visit to Enugu State in January was a testament to his belief in the seriousness of the state and the commendable performance of its governor.



The minister further elaborated on the purpose of his visit, which was to review ongoing projects in the South East. Although the team could not cover all projects in a single day due to their number, they prioritized key initiatives such as the newly constructed flyover and the Enugu-Port Harcourt Road.



The News Agency of Nigeria reports that accompanying Idris were key members of the minister’s team, including Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Assistant on Communications and Strategy to Tinubu, and Malam Ali M. Ali, Managing Director of NAN. The delegation also included the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Malam Jibrin Ndace, Directors-General of NTA, National Broadcasting Commission, as well as the President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Dr. Ike Neliaku, and the President of RATTAWU, Mr. Emeka Kalu, among others.
