Sokoto Governor swears in new Head of Service

The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has sworn in Sani Garba Shuni as new Head of Service in the state.

Garba Shuni was the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works and Transport until his appointment.

In a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Muhammad Bello, the inauguration of the new Head of Service was as a result of the retirement of his predecessor, Dr Buhari Bello Kware.

While congratulating Dr Kware for completing his service successfully, the Governor also thanked him for his enormous contribution to the development of the state civil service.

According to him, the outgoing Head of Service added a lot of value and innovations to the state civil service.

He added that his tenure brought a lot of achievements and other tremendous changes in state.

He further explained that during his time he made civil servants computer literate and inculcated discipline into the service. He also shared his intelligence and skills for the benefit of the state.

The Governor said Dr Kware has never been found wanting in the discharge of his duty.

He said the new Head of Service has a track record of excellence and hard work.

Governor Tambuwal enjoined him to exhibit his commitment, experience  and skills in managing the affairs of his new job.
