Activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange have continued on a positive trend on Tuesday, with the market closing with a 0.65 percent gain.
The market capitalisation which opened today at 11,241 trillion Naira, closed at 11,314 trillion Naira, gaining 73 billion Naira or 0.65 percent.
Likewise the All Share Index closed with a 0.65 percent or 213.38 basis points to close at 32,827.98 basis points as compared to Monday’s closing of 32,614.60 basis points.
2.2 million shares worth 2.10 billion Naira were traded in 4,991 deals as 24 stocks appreciated and 20 stocks depreciated.
NEIMETH INTERNATIONAL PHARMACEUTICALS PLC topped the gainers table with a 0.06 kobo or 9.38 percent gain to close at 0.70 kobo per share compared to Monday’s closing price of 0.64 kobo per share.
VITAFOAM NIG PLC came second with a gain of 0.14 kobo or 5.45 percent to close at N2.71 per share as against previous closing price of N2.57 per share.
OKOMU OIL PALM PLC followed with a previous closing price of N56.65 per share to close today at N59.48 per share, gaining N2.83 or 5.00 percent.
To lead the losers chart is UNION BANK NIG.PLC by 0.35 kobo or 6.27 percent, having a closing price of N5.23 per share compared to Monday’s closing price of N5.58 per share.
PRESCO PLC was next by N3.39 or 4.99 percent to close at N64.54 per share as against previous closing price of N67.93 per share.
CADBURY NIGERIA PLC closed at N11.40 per share, gaining 0.59 kobo or 4.92 percent when compared to Monday’s closing price of N11.99 per share.
