Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik

A suicide bomber has killed at least seven people at a political rally in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, police say.

Local media say the blast happened near the house of a leader of the Awami National Party, which is part of the governing coalition, reports the BBC.

A provincial minister, Bashir Ahmad Bilour, was reportedly among those injured in the blast.

The Awami National Party holds power in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
