Abuja: President Bola Tinubu has called upon the Senate to confirm Dr. Kingsley Udeh for the position of Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This request was formally communicated through a letter addressed to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, which was read at the Senate’s plenary session on Tuesday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Dr. Kingsley Udeh is currently serving as the Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice in Enugu State. In his letter, President Tinubu expressed his pleasure in nominating Dr. Udeh, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), for the ministerial position. Tinubu emphasized the need for the Senate to consider the nomination with their usual promptness and extended his highest regards to the Senate President and the distinguished senators.
Following the reading of the letter, Senate President Akpabio directed the request to be reviewed by the committee of the whole for immediate consideration.
