Braslia: Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State has announced that President Bola Tinubu’s recent state visit to Brazil holds the potential to unlock investments exceeding $30 billion across critical sectors of Nigeria’s economy. Sani highlighted this potential while speaking to journalists in Braslia, emphasizing the impact of the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed during the visit, which focus on agriculture, aviation, and science and technology as key areas for economic transformation.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Gov. Sani underscored the significance of these MoUs, stating that they could usher in substantial investments in agriculture, food security, aviation, and airspace collaboration between Nigeria and Brazil. He further pointed out new agreements in diplomacy, innovation, and renewable energy as vital sectors that are now gaining attention under President Tinubu’s leadership.
Sani also noted that Nigeria’s strategic partnership with Brazil is particularly timely, given Brazil’s trade tensions with the U.S. He credited President Tinubu’s recent reforms, especially those related to foreign exchange, for boosting investor confidence. Sani remarked that resolving the $7 billion forex backlog was essential for attracting investors, applauding the efforts of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
In his concluding remarks, Sani called on Nigerians to support the administration’s economic agenda, which aims at fostering long-term growth and national development.
