Abuja: Chief Emeka Obegolu, President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), announced that the Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF) has strengthened collaborations with more than 40 diplomatic missions, trade promotion agencies, and investors. Obegolu made this statement while inaugurating the 20th edition of the AITF.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the theme of this year’s AITF, ‘Sustainability: Consumption, Incentives, and Taxation’, reflects the chamber’s dedication to fostering economic growth through innovation, responsible production, and environmental stewardship. Obegolu expressed pride in the increasing visibility the platform provides to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the opportunities it creates for Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Government (B2G), and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) engagements. He highlighted the significance of the AITF, not only for its 20 years of continuous impact but also as a testament to its growth and vibrancy.
Obegolu emphasized that the fair serves as a crucial platform for showcasing products and services, expanding into new markets, and establishing valuable business partnerships while staying attuned to global trends. Over the past two decades, the fair has consistently connected businesses with rewarding opportunities, driving trade and investment, and promoting innovation.
He urged all participants, including exhibitors, visitors, shoppers, and stakeholders, to fully utilize the opportunities presented over the 12-day event. Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the first Deputy President of the ACCI, reiterated the importance of the fair as a platform for businesses to showcase their products and connect with potential customers and suppliers. He noted that the event offers opportunities for networking with industry leaders, policymakers, and investors, fostering partnerships, and accessing new markets.
