Ofada: Mrs. Rebecca Adeyemo, the Director of Education at Trinity International College, Ofada, attributed the school’s 30-year existence to excellence, describing it as a culture shaped by the institution’s vision, mission, and values. Speaking at the college’s 30th anniversary thanksgiving held in the school’s multi-purpose hall, Adeyemo highlighted how the institution’s culture has guided both past and current students toward disciplined habits, positive learning attitudes, and strong character development.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Adeyemo emphasized the importance of pursuing excellence as a continuous lifestyle rather than an occasional act. She noted that excellence is reflected in daily habits, disciplined practice, and consistent effort, stressing that it goes beyond mere certificates to reveal character, responsibility, and determination to be the best. ‘Our vision, mission, and values remain the compass guiding everything we do,’ she added.
In a sermon delivered by Mr. Olusegun Osunsan, a Pastor from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, the themes of legacy and excellence were explored. Osunsan described legacy as an inheritance from predecessors and excellence as proven quality with visible results. He attributed the school’s success to divine guidance, referencing Psalm 127, verse 1, and emphasized the importance of placing God at the center of all decisions.
Prof. Samuel Olatunji, the Overall Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Trinity Group, remarked that the college’s journey reflects determination, prayer, and credible strategies executed with clear purpose. He highlighted the importance of collective effort in sustaining progress, urging schools to maintain strong security structures while the government provides necessary infrastructure.
Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, commended Trinity International College for its excellence, demonstrated through various laurels and exceptional JAMB performance. Represented by Miss Mary Duze, he noted the college’s commitment to holistic development aligns with the state’s agenda of quality education for all.
The event also recognized outstanding contributions from students and staff, with long service awards and accolades for academic excellence. Osasenaga Abe, the winner of the Best Student of the Year Award, encouraged others to stay confident and resist peer pressure. The celebration highlighted Trinity College’s culture of excellence and its role in nurturing future leaders.
