According to News Agency of Nigeria, Trump made these remarks during his speech at the General Debate of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York. He highlighted the transformation over the past 16 months, emphasizing that no illegal aliens had been admitted to the U.S. during this period, attributing this achievement to sophisticated efforts not directly related to his administration.
Trump further claimed that by 2025, the U.S. saw the largest drop in violent crime ever recorded, with the murder rate reaching its lowest point in 125 years. He credited crime reduction efforts, noting significant decreases in crime rates in cities like Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana.
In his speech, Trump also discussed the booming state of tourism and the bustling activity in American restaurants, particularly in the nation’s capital. He mentioned the significant military investments made during his term, amounting to 1.5 trillion dollars, and described a transformation from what he termed a “Dark Age” under the previous administration to a “golden age.”
Trump welcomed world leaders as the U.S. celebrated 250 years of independence, asserting that America was stronger than ever. He claimed the U.S. economy had become the envy of the world, with the military being the most powerful globally. He also mentioned a record low poverty rate and historic highs in household incomes and stock market performance.
Trump concluded by highlighting the economic achievements of his administration, including the creation of over 1 million new private sector jobs and significant tax cuts. He stated that the removal of business regulations had led to unprecedented investments in the U.S., with commitments totaling 21 trillion dollars in new investments from global sources.
