The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the appointment of Professor Ikpeme A. Ikpeme as the New Chief Medical Director (CMD), University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), Calabar, Cross Rivers State.
The Appointment is for an initial term of four years with effect from 16th of April, 2019.
Congratulating Professor Ikpeme on his new appointment, the Honourable Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, reminded him of the enormous responsibilities of his office and the yearnings of the people for an effective and responsive healthcare delivery system for Nigerians.
Professor Adewole further advised the new CMD to justify the confidence reposed on him by the President, working with all stakeholders to ensure industrial harmony in the Health Sector and in support of Mr. President’s Change Agenda.
Similarly, President Muhammad Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr. Azubuike K. Onyebuchi as the New Medical Director (MD), Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, Abia State.
The Appointment is for an initial term of Four Years with effect from 31st March, 2019.
Congratulating the MD on his new appointment, the Honourable Minister of State, Health, Dr. E. Osagie Ehanire urged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the discharge of his duties so as to take healthcare delivery to a greater height.
