The search for ways of preventing young people from joining terrorist networks around the world has intensified all year.
From Baghdad to Orlando, from Nice to Nigeria, the fertile supply of new, young recruits to groups such as ISIL, Boko Haram and the Taliban is a particular concern at the UN.
The Secretary General presented his Plan of Action to Prevent Violent Extremism, in January, and everyone agrees the problem is too big for any one country to solve.
