Ukpo (Dunukofia LGA)-The Venerable In-charge of Ukpo Archdeaconry and Vicar of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ukpo Rev. Shalom Ginika has urged parents to offer Godly advice to their daughters.
Ven. Ginika said this during the Girl’s Guild Service held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ukpo.
In a sermon with a theme: “The Name of The Lord Is A Strong Tower ‘’, enjoined all to run to God for safety for He is the highest defence.
He emphasised that the training of girls was important, especially in this poor economy.
The cleric enjoined the congregation to collectively ensure that the lives of their girls were shielded, giving them Godly advice that would make them grow.
He maintained that the young girls were the future and urged the parents never to disappoint their children.
“Parents give your children the support they need academically and spiritually. Parents provide their basic needs,’’ he said.
“Have a good relationship with God and flee from all manner of evil. Allow God take a leaf of your lives and then be secured.’’
He urged the girls to shun immoral lives and get focused in order to become what God wants them to become.
Ginika, then, reminded them of the great name of Jesus which was the only weapon for victory as that name would always set them free.
Mrs. Martha Chioma Ibezim, the president of Girl’s Guild Anglican Diocese of Awka pleaded that all hands must be on deck to make sure these girls fulfill their destiny.
She enjoined parents to always pray for their daughters and also share the word of God with them. Mrs. Martha Ibezim praised all for supporting the girls, pleading that they support the ministry and prayed to them never relent in supporting the girls.
