Post: VON Garden City: 88 Staff win house allocations in Abuja

Voice of Nigeria management has approved the allocation of eighty eight different categories of houses in the phase 2 VON Garden city estate for occupation in Abuja Nigeria’s capital.

The allocations followed a process of balloting supervised by the Director General, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace in Abuja where six hundred and eighty two participated out of nine hundred and fifty three that qualified based on the set guidelines.

The Chairman of the VON Garden Phase 2 in Lugbe transmission station in Abuja, Mr. Gab Atte said that the process followed all due process outlined by the committee that worked for months to arrive as staff that qualified and now emerged as winners.

He said the fifteen departments in VON were allocated slots ranging from one to eleven depending on the staff strength in each department with over sixty hundred and eighty two bidding.

The Director General, Mr. Ndace commended the committee for a transparent process and called on winners to respect the sensibilities of everybody that part
icipated as winner or loser after the balloting.

Mallam Ndace assured VON staff that many more opportunities abound and encouraged staff to promote the VON brand and work towards earning legitimate means of owning a house.

Some winners expressed their satisfaction with the process and the surprises over the wins and promised to do their best to promote the corporate objectives and the repositioning drive of the Director General.

Departments of programmes languages and Engineering top the list of winners with eleven staff each, News Department eight, General services seven, Human resources six, Finance and Digital Media Department four slots each and other departments with one to three slots accordingly.

The VON Garden phase 2 city estate is a continuation of the phased development of the Transmission station landed property to provide houses for staff in partnership with developers that started since 2003 in Abuja.
