Abuja: The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Mary Alile, has called on women across the country to unite and support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027. Alile made the call on Monday in Abuja while receiving members of Asiwaju Loyalist Ladies (ALL), a faith-based women group.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Alile emphasized the impact of the Tinubu administration’s policies and programs on women, youths, and vulnerable groups, highlighting initiatives such as student loans, grants, and empowerment programs. She urged women to educate others about the contributions of the current administration and to support its ongoing efforts.
Alile encouraged women to remain united and actively participate in politics, stressing the importance of prayer and mobilization in the lead-up to future elections. She called for every woman to be involved in governance and nation-building.
Earlier, Princess Gloria Akobundu, the Organising Secretary of Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB), mentioned that the group was established to mobilize women and youths in support of good governance and national development. Akobundu noted that TTB had established structures across the 774 local government areas to promote the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
She highlighted the collaboration between TTB and Asiwaju Loyalist Ladies as a significant step toward enhancing women’s participation in politics. The Leader of the Asiwaju Loyalist Ladies, Mrs Abiola Towobola, reiterated the group’s mission to mobilize women to participate actively in governance and civic responsibilities. Towobola encouraged professional women and entrepreneurs to become more involved in the democratic process.
