Youth Commissioner Dedicates Set of Triplet to God

Enugwu Ukwu (Njikoka LGA)-Family of Mr Boniface and Prof Theresa Obiekezie Bonny Ogbutor have dedicated their babies, a set of triplets to God.

The event, which took place at St. Francis Catholic Church, Urunebo, Enugwu Ukwu on Nov. 29, attracted government functionaries, friends and well wishers of the family.

The dedication service and one year birthday celebration of the set of the babies — two boys and a girl, Terence, Albert and Laura Bonny Ogbutor was officiated by the Vice Chancellor, Ekwulobia Diocese, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Nwankwo.

Parish Priest, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Awka, Rev. Fr. Peter Val Uzoezie said the arrival of the triplet brought immeasurable joy to the family for which they should always magnify God.

He described the dedication of little children in the Church as giving back to God what belonged to Him for blessing, protection and divine direction which would help them to have foundational growth in the Lord.

While urging the parents to train the children in the way they should grow, he urged them to remain eternally grateful to God for His blessings.

Father of the Children, Mr Ogbutor, who is an engineer, gave God the glory for the gift of the triplet.

Mother of the Children and Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Prof Theresa Obiekezie said she was overwhelmed at the turnout of personalities who came to share the moment with them.

“Our joy knows no bounds; after waiting for six years in marriage without children.

“I pray God to protect the children and to enable them to grow up and take care of us at our old age.’’

Some of the dignitaries who spoke with newsmen shortly after the service include Permanent Secretary, office of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Ude Akpe and his Education Ministry counterpart, Mr Linus Nwankwo.

They prayed for God’s continued guidance of the children.
