Post: YPP Calls for Renewed Faith in Nigeria and Electoral Integrity

Abuja:The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has encouraged Nigerians to renew their faith in the nation and engage actively in nation-building as Nigeria celebrates its 66th Independence Anniversary.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the YPP, through a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Egbeola Wale Martins, emphasized that despite the country’s current challenges, a better Nigeria is achievable. The party highlighted the importance of the nation’s human capital, creativity, and enterprise as the foundation for Nigeria’s future.

The party urged citizens to carefully evaluate candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing the importance of considering candidates’ vision, competence, and track records rather than succumbing to party slogans or monetary inducements.

The YPP stated that the upcoming elections offer an opportunity for Nigerians to demand accountability and reject poor governance. The party called on voters to resist electoral inducement and transactional politics, advocating that temporary gifts should not overshadow the need for effective governance over the next four years.

The YPP has announced Mr. Peter Agada as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election, following its leadership recruitment process. The party also introduced its Labour Direct Initiative, which aims to enhance living standards and reduce governance costs through a bottom-up policy approach.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to providing a credible alternative and building an egalitarian society prioritizing its citizens. The YPP concluded by saluting the resilience of Nigerians and encouraging them to actively contribute to the nation’s development.
