Post: 2027 Election Manipulation Will Fail Says Kwankwaso

Abuja: Vice-Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, has voiced his belief that governors banking on the rigging of election results in 2027 will face disappointment. Kwankwaso shared this perspective while evaluating the political climate in anticipation of the 2027 general elections during the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Personality Interview Series in Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Kwankwaso’s prediction is based on the observation that some governors, who have not adequately addressed their constituents’ concerns, have hastily aligned with the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) in hopes of securing favorable outcomes in the upcoming elections. He highlighted the widespread dissatisfaction among Nigerians regarding the performance of both federal and state governments, citing issues such as insecurity, poverty, unemployment, and declining public services.

Kwankwaso emphasized that citizens are becoming increasingly aware of their political choices and will not automatically support governors and politicians merely because they wield control over state structures. He projected that many governors seeking re-election will be disappointed as the electorate will not back them.

He further explained that Nigerians have valid reasons to demand improved governance, pointing out that millions of children remain out of school and communities are affected by insecurity nationwide. Reflecting on his tenure as the governor of Kano State, Kwankwaso noted that his administration prioritized education by ensuring access to primary, secondary, and tertiary education for eligible residents. He also introduced initiatives to tackle the Almajiri challenge and provided educational infrastructure, including hostels for students.

Kwankwaso criticized the trend of politicians shifting allegiances to the APC in pursuit of political gain. Nonetheless, he expressed confidence that the Nigerian populace would ultimately shape the outcome of the 2027 elections. He urged political leaders to heed the citizens’ voices and embrace change when the government fails to meet public expectations.
