Post: ACPN Lagos Initiates Construction of Multimillion Naira Commercial Hub

Lagos:The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Lagos State Branch, has commenced construction on a multimillion-naira ultra-modern commercial hub and permanent secretariat.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Mr. Tolu Ajayi, Chairman of ACPN Lagos, stated that the project is part of the ‘Building for Enduring Legacy’ initiative. Already, approximately N150 million has been spent on acquisition, documentation, and other preliminary processes for the property located in Ketu, as highlighted during the groundbreaking ceremony.

The project is expected to generate sustainable revenue for the association and support its programs and activities in the state. The construction costs are estimated at about N650 million, with total investment potentially reaching ?1 billion as the development progresses and variations arise.

Ajayi emphasized that the project is designed not only as an administrative secretariat but as a commercial facility to generate continuous income for the association, reducing reliance on members’ dues while providing additional resources.

He noted that the project is a product of teamwork and contributions from successive ACPN Lagos administrations. The property acquisition was finalized in the first year of their administration, government approvals were obtained the following year, and construction started in the third year. Ajayi acknowledged the contributions of past chairmen in developing the project.

Completion of the project is expected within three years and could involve the next administration due to its scale.

Mr. Ambrose Ezeh, National Chairman of ACPN, described the groundbreaking as laying the foundation for the future, emphasizing the project’s role in representing the identity and unity of ACPN Lagos.

Tanko Ayuba, President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, congratulated the association on this milestone and praised the branch for initiating the building project, noting that other branches of PSN and ACPN are also establishing their own facilities, marking a positive development.
