According to Deutsche Welle, Azeezat Olaoluwa, conflict, inflation, and climate change are fueling hunger in Nigeria, affecting nearly 31 million people. Northeastern Nigeria has been particularly hard hit after Islamist Jihadist group Boko Haram launched an insurgency in 2009. Their activities have led to the deaths of thousands and displaced 2.3 million people. These people now live in displacement camps.
