Dublin: Boeing International Corporation has announced its readiness to assist Nigerian airlines in accessing adequate aircraft insurance coverage through partnerships with lessors and global financiers. Mr. Moore Ibekwe, Boeing Sales Director for the Africa Region Commercial Airlines, made this disclosure during the startoff meeting of the ‘Boeing Lessor Forum’ in Dublin, Ireland, scheduled from January 12 to January 15.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the forum presents an opportunity for Nigeria to showcase its reforms in the aviation sector and to forge strategic alliances. Ibekwe emphasized that this initiative will significantly aid Nigerian airline operators in mitigating risks and safeguarding against potential losses. He highlighted the necessity for aircraft operators in Nigeria to maintain adequate insurance coverage and stressed the importance of bolstering the capacity of aviation insurance to ensure stability and safety in the sector.

ring the first position in the Cape Town Convention compliance index rating in Africa. He noted that tracking funds by lessors is no longer a concern in the Nigerian aviation sector. In addition, Ms. Rose Lereece, the organizer of the ‘Nigerian Aviation Forum’ startoff meeting, encouraged the Nigerian delegation to leverage the opportunities presented by the event to attract businesses that would further develop the Nigerian aviation industry.
