Post: Fidelity Bank Reports Significant Growth in Deposits and Earnings for H1 2025


Lagos: Fidelity Bank has announced a substantial increase in customers’ deposits, reaching N7.2 trillion in the first half of 2025, compared to N5.9 trillion in the previous year.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, the bank’s unaudited financial report for the half year ending June 2025, which was published on the Nigerian Exchange Group NGX platform, also highlighted a notable growth in gross earnings. The gross earnings have risen to N748.7 billion, a significant increase from the N512.9 billion recorded during the same period in 2024. This figure marks a 46 percent increase from the previous year.



In addition, the bank’s Net Revenue has increased to N444 billion, up from N396.8 billion in H1 2024. Net Interest Income saw a rise to N420.4 billion from the N326.4 billion reported in the first half of 2024. The bank’s loan book has also expanded, with net loans and advances growing to N4.9 trillion from N4.4 trillion recorded in the 2024 financial year.



Fidelity Bank noted that the growth in its loan book reflects increased support for businesses and individuals, and it assured that its asset quality remains stable, with non-performing loans within acceptable limits. The bank’s capital raising initiatives have bolstered its financial standing, ensuring readiness to meet new regulatory requirements and seize growth opportunities.
