Abuja:Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, will host over 20,000 women stakeholders in Abuja on Monday to rally support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Dr. Gloria Akobundu, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council Women Mobilisation Planning Committee, announced the event in a statement on Sunday. The gathering, titled ‘Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity,’ is organised by the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The mobilisation event, themed ‘One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027,’ is expected to draw women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, grassroots organisers, political stakeholders, and community representatives from across Nigeria.

Dr. Akobundu stated that the Tinubu administration’s programmes have positively impacted millions of Nigerians, especially women and youths. Initiatives like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has disbursed over N191 billion in interest-free loans to students, and the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP), which aims to extend credit access to 50% of Nigeria€š¬…¡¬€š¬…¾¢s working families, were highlighted.

Infrastructure development under the administration has seen the construction of over 2,700 kilometres of highways, with projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road receiving attention. Social protection efforts, including the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, have reached 75 million vulnerable households, bolstered by initiatives like NG-CARES, SOLID, and HOPE.

Dr. Akobundu urged women, particularly in the South-East, to intensify mobilisation efforts and spread the Renewed Hope message statewide, emphasizing the opportunity for women to play a more substantial role in the political process leading up to the 2027 general elections.
