Ologbo:Edo Governor Monday Okpebholo has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win any election conducted in the state. He made this declaration during the party’s mobilisation and campaign activities in Ologbo Ward 9 and 10 within the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Okpebholo emphasized that the APC has a strong structure statewide, positioning the party well for upcoming elections. The mobilisation efforts are designed to fortify the party at the grassroots level and secure necessary support for its candidates.
The governor encouraged party members to stay united and committed to APC programmes, promising continued efforts by his administration to benefit the people. He also called on supporters to work towards achieving victory in the Senate and House of Representatives elections.
During the event, Okpebholo presented the APC’s Senatorial candidate, Ogbeide Ihama, the House of Representatives candidate, Mr. Felix Igbinovia, and the House of Assembly candidate, Mr. Clement Ikponmwonsa, to the party faithful.
Earlier, Mr. Jarrett Tenebe, the state Chairman of the APC, announced a target of 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the next general election. He noted that the party leadership had started mobilisation efforts across the 18 local government areas, with visits by the governor and his deputy, Dennis Idahosa.
Mr. Sunny Ogbewe, APC Chairman in Ikpoba-Okha, stated that the governor€™s visit had uplifted the morale of party members. He highlighted the area’s significant number of registered voters and the commitment to securing substantial votes for the APC, alongside commendations for the governor€™s projects and interventions.
