Kaduna: Alhaji Umar Musa, the Uchu of Ninzo from the Ninzo Chiefdom in Sanga Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State, has reached out to Governor Uba Sani, urging the construction of access roads to enhance economic activities in the region. This appeal was made during the Ninzo Annual Cultural Festival held in the Fadan Ninzo Community of Sanga.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the festival, themed ‘Harmony with Nature: Celebrating Indigenous Roots’, is an annual event organized by the Ninzo Community Development Association (NCDA) to honor the cultural heritage of the Ninzo people. The traditional leader emphasized the need for a road linking the Fadan Ninzo Chiefdom with the Agamati Chiefdom, highlighting the region’s lack of sufficient access roads to neighboring areas including the Fadan Ayu Chiefdom and Wamba and Akwanga LGAs in Nasarawa State.
Musa specifically requested the government to construct a road that would connect the chiefdom to Wamba via the Abu Community, and to Akwanga in Nasarawa State through the Randa-Katarza-Akwanga route. In addition to infrastructure, he called for the upgrading of the primary healthcare center in Fadan Ninzo into a rural hospital to enhance healthcare services, and the establishment of a cottage industry to create job opportunities for the youth.
Furthermore, Musa advocated for the elevation of the Fadan Ninzo Chiefdom from a second-class to a first-class status. He expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani’s administration for its contributions to health, security, and infrastructure development, assuring the governor of his unwavering support.
Governor Uba Sani, represented by Ado Dogo, Counsellor for Political Affairs, recognized the importance of cultural festivals in preserving heritage and fostering unity. He encouraged communities to use such platforms to promote patriotism and development. He also mentioned the N100 million allocation for each of the 255 political wards in the 2026 budget, aimed at promoting inclusive governance and allowing communities to prioritize projects according to their unique needs.
The event also served as a fundraising platform for the establishment of the Ninzo Empowerment Centre, further underlining the community’s commitment to development and empowerment initiatives.
