Post: NNPC Commences Loading of Petrol from Dangote Refinery


The Nigerian National Petroleum Company limited, NNPCL has commenced loading of petrol from the Dangote refinery in Lagos, South West Nigeria.

The refinery is equipped with 86 gantries with 40 gantries dedicated to the discharge of petrol.

With the commencement of the loading, the NNPC can make pretroleum products available across the country.

According to the NNPC in a statement on its X handle on Saturday, the Company has deployed over 100 trucks for initial loading with hundreds more trucks en route.

The Dangote refinery has the capacity to discharge 54 million liters of petrol per day thereby saving the country foreign exchange.

The Presidential Committee on the Sale of crude oil and Refined Product had announced that from October 1, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited would commence the supply of about 385 000bpd of crude oil to the Dangote Refinery to be paid for in Naira.

The Committe explained that the Dangote Refinery will in return, supply PMS and diesel of equivalent value to the
domestic market to be paid for in Naira.

Other deliberations reached by the committee include the sale of Diesel in Naira by the Dangote Refinery to any interested off-taker while PMS will only be sold to NNPC.
